How does the treatment with botulinum toxin work?

Before each therapy we discuss with you which regions should be treated. With a very fine needle the substance is injected into the region to be treated. The puncture is minimal (patients sometimes describe a slight burning sensation), but we can also offer you a local anesthetic. The effect sets in after 2 to 3 days. The full effect is visible after about a week. The full effect lasts 4-6 months for wrinkle smoothing, and 12 months on average for sweat gland treatment. In extremely rare cases, the effect can be completely absent.
