What is the effect of peeling with PQAge?
PQAge is a medium-depth peel. The substances contained in it (30-35% trichloroacetic acid, 5-10% kojic and mandelic acid, glyne complex and coenzyme Q10) are mixed in such a way that they can penetrate deep into the skin and cause a so-called protein precipitation. This leads to an improvement of wrinkles, dehydrated and sagging skin as well as pigment disorders. The old collagen fibres are replaced by new fibres. This makes the skin look fresher and younger.
An optimal treatment result is achieved with 4 to 6 treatments at intervals of 2 weeks. A top-up treatment is recommended after six months.

How the PQAge peel works
According to its description, the PQAge peel is not painful and requires no special preparation. Beforehand, a questionnaire and a conversation clarify whether the treatment is right for you.

Consultation
First, you will have a preliminary consultation with a specialist. Prepare for the consultation and talk openly about your wishes and expectations.
Treatment
The face, neck and décolleté are degreased and cleaned with a special cleansing agent. Then the skin is dried and the PQAge Serum is applied. The peeling is massaged in until it is completely absorbed by the skin. After a short time the product is removed with moist cotton pads and the skin is well dried. This process is repeated 2-3 times. Finally, a finishing care product is applied.
The treatment takes between 30 and 50 minutes.After the treatment
The treatment should be repeated after 2 weeks. A total of up to 6 sessions should be done. It is recommended to repeat the treatment cycle after 6 months.

“Peel” is the name for an external, aesthetic-dermatological treatment of the skin with natural fruit acids, chemical acids or by mechanical removal.
The peel is suitable for improving or eliminating sun- or age-related skin changes, wrinkles, pigment spots and superficial acne scars, and for tightening the skin. Since the discovery of the skin-improving properties of natural fruit acids, numerous methods have been developed.
Among the chemical peel methods, a distinction is made between superficial peels (fruit acid peel), medium-depth peels (PQAge peel) and deep peels (TCA peel) – depending on how aggressively the skin is affected and removed. Mechanical peel methods include dermabrasion and microdermabrasion. We use different types of peel depending on the desired result.
In a chemical peel, fruit acids or other substances are applied to the skin. They penetrate the upper layers of skin to different depths, loosen dead surface skin cells and stimulate the epidermis to regenerate. In the dermis, more collagen fibres, ground substance and elastin are formed, and water is bound in the skin. Overall, the skin is restructured and thickened, and its moisture content rises. The skin looks smoother and more youthful overall. Sun-related cell damage, pigmentation and fine lines are reduced or eliminated, provided they do not reach too deep. The more aggressive the acid, the better the skin rejuvenation, but the higher the risk of side effects too.
Large areas can be treated effectively with a peel. Depending on the peel chosen, the complexion can become significantly more radiant, wrinkles can be softened and the appearance of scars can be improved.
This question can only be answered through an individual consultation. There are many different peels, which are used depending on the purpose. A fruit acid peel acts only in the uppermost layers of skin, a PQAge peel on the middle layer of skin, whereas the TCA peel also reaches deep skin structures.
Like any cosmetic procedure, every peel treatment must be embedded in longer-term pre-treatment and aftercare. Depending on the desired goal, the specialist will choose the right peel for you.
This depends on the peel used and the application time. A superficial peel such as the fruit acid peel is often felt only as a slight burning sensation.
By contrast, the PQAge peel acts in the medium-depth layer of the skin and is not painful.
During a TCA peel, which acts in deeper layers of skin , a slight to moderate burning sensation on the skin may occur, which normally subsides after a few minutes.
Depending on the peel used and how intensely the skin peels, the effects of a peel last from months to years.
With a PQAge peel, an immediate rejuvenation of the skin with a “glow effect” is already visible after the first treatment. In the long term, PQAge leads to an improvement of the skin structure.
In many cases this is possible and also reasonable. A pre-treatment with botulinum toxin can be useful when using a peel to smooth wrinkles. Wrinkle injections after a peel can also further improve the result achieved.
