What is a fruit acid peel and how does it work?
Essentially, a distinction is made between treatments for skin renewal or anti-aging and acne treatment. Our fruit acid peel is a gentle, non-invasive treatment that reduces wrinkles and fine lines, stimulates collagen production and improves the skin’s appearance. During the treatment, a special solution consisting of a combination of fruit acids is applied to the skin. The fruit acids exfoliate the superficial layers of the skin and stimulate collagen production, resulting in smoother, brighter and younger looking skin.
What are the benefits of a fruit acid peel?

What is the difference to other peelings?
There are different types of peels. A fruit acid peel and a TCA peel are both chemical peels that help to reduce wrinkles and rejuvenate the skin. However, the main difference lies in the depth of the treatment and the downtime.
A fruit acid peel acts on the uppermost layers of the skin. By removing the upper layers of the skin, it has a smoothing effect. The increase in blood circulation results in a rosy and fresh complexion. Bleaching ingredients can have a positive effect on pigmentation disorders.
A TCA peel penetrates deeper into the skin layers, so it is a deep peel. Stimulation of the fibroblasts leads to increased formation of fibres and basic substance and thus to genuine tissue regeneration. A TCA peel can therefore generally be more aggressive and cause longer downtimes.
Both chemical peels can be used to treat the face, neck and décolleté, as well as the hands and back, and have a comprehensive effect on the appearance of the skin.

During the treatment itself, the skin is first degreased and cleansed. Then the fruit acid is applied. After the prescribed application time, the fruit acid is washed off or neutralised. During and after treatment the skin may burn and feel hot. This sensation disappears after the acids are neutralised. After hours to days, the skin peels to a greater or lesser degree, which lasts a few days.
For the first 3 hours after the peel, neither water nor cosmetics may come into contact with the peeled areas. After that, a moisturising cream or sun protection product may be applied. No vitamin A product may be used during the course of peels. Avoid the sun during the course and for up to two weeks afterwards, or, if necessary, apply a high-protection sunscreen (sun blocker, at least factor 20, preferably higher). After the course, aftercare with special skincare products (e.g. with low-concentration glycolic acid) is recommended to maintain the result achieved.
The fruit acid peel has antibacterial, sebum-regulating and regenerating effects. It loosens old layers of dead skin, supports the healing of inflammation and provides a smoother, more even complexion – without irritating the skin unnecessarily.
The anti-acne facial treatment is suitable for teenagers and adults with acne, blemished skin, enlarged pores or oily, problem-prone skin. The treatment can also have a supportive effect on hormonal acne or stubborn skin blemishes.
