Dermacare works with state-of-the-art laser technology, with the help of which complaints such as urinary incontinence can be treated on an outpatient basis, almost painlessly and sustainably.
Before the treatment, an analgesic cream is applied to the outer vagina and at the entrance to the vagina before the CO2 laser is inserted vaginally with the appropriate attachment. For treatment, the laser beam is activated, and the handpiece is rotated so the laser treats the tissue centimetre by centimetre through a full 360 degrees.
The thermal power of the laser activates the production of the body’s own collagen in the connective tissue layer below the mucosa, the so-called submucosa, and the entire mucosa is stimulated to renew itself. In the process, the connective tissue is tightened and blood circulation is stimulated. Following vaginal tightening, you must refrain from baths and sexual intercourse for three to five days after the treatment. After extensive treatment around the vulva, repeated daily application of a wound and healing ointment is advisable.
Smokers should also note that smoking reduces the blood supply to the wound area. This increases the risk of wound healing problems. Avoiding nicotine entirely for at least four weeks after vaginal tightening is therefore strongly recommended.
