In brief
- Botox relaxes targeted muscles and is particularly suited to expression lines such as frown lines, forehead lines and crow's feet.
- Hyaluronic acid replaces lost volume, smooths deep lines such as nasolabial folds and marionette lines, and gives immediately visible results.
- PRP autologous blood therapy uses the body's own growth factors for skin regeneration and needs no foreign substances.
- The choice of method depends on skin type, age, the type of wrinkles and personal wishes; a combination often makes sense.
The moment the first fine lines appear can mean more than just a cosmetic detail. For many people it comes with the wish to feel as fresh on the outside as they do on the inside. But which wrinkle treatment method is right for you?
Whether you want to reduce wrinkles in a targeted way or gently prevent skin ageing, modern anti-ageing treatments now offer a wide range of effective, minimally invasive options.
At Dermacare Vienna, several established procedures are available to revitalise your skin in a targeted way. In this article you will learn how Botox, hyaluronic acid, PRP and stem cell therapy differ – and which method best suits your needs.
Botox – a proven wrinkle treatment method for expression lines

Botulinum toxin is one of the oldest and most widely used wrinkle treatment methods, and it is no longer what many remember from the 2000s. At Dermacare, we work with the smallest, most precise doses to relax muscle tension in a targeted way without losing facial expression.
Suitable for:
- Frown lines
- Forehead lines
- Crow's feet
- Fine lines on the chin and nose
- Migraine or teeth grinding (medical use)
Benefits:
- Quick effect after a few days
- Lasts 4–6 months
- Particularly effective for expression-related lines
Hyaluronic acid – anti-ageing treatment for volume and contour
Hyaluronic acid is a substance naturally found in the body that binds water. It is ideal for replacing lost volume and smoothing deep lines. This anti-ageing treatment is particularly suitable when the skin structure has already weakened.
Typical areas of application:
- Nasolabial folds
- Marionette lines
- Lip contour and lip augmentation
- Cheeks, chin or décolleté
Benefits:
- Immediately visible results
- Lasts 6–12 months
- Particularly good for dry or slack skin
PRP therapy – a natural wrinkle treatment method using your own plasma

Autologous blood therapy (also known as the vampire lift) is a natural anti-ageing treatment that uses the body's own growth factors for skin regeneration. It visibly improves the skin's appearance and stimulates collagen production.
Areas of application:
- Face, neck, décolleté
- Hands
- Skin rejuvenation for fine lines
- Hair loss
Benefits:
- Holistic regenerative effect
- No foreign substances
- Ideal as a gentle anti-ageing course
Plant-based stem cell therapy with Miracell® – the innovative anti-ageing method
Treatment with Miracell® uses plant-derived stem cells to renew the skin at deep levels. This innovative wrinkle treatment method is particularly suited to prevention and to improving skin quality.
Ideal for:
- First signs of skin ageing
- Tired, thin or sensitive skin
- Clients who prefer natural active ingredients
Benefits:
- No change in volume, but targeted improvement of the skin
- No allergy risks
- Strengthens the skin's own cell renewal

Frequently asked questions
Botox (botulinum toxin or BTA) is a naturally occurring bacterial protein. It is secreted by the bacterium Clostridium Botulinum and isolated through complex purification steps. Botulinum toxin is used in aesthetic medicine to smooth wrinkles in the face, neck and décolletage and for treatment of increased sweat gland activity. In addition, Botox is very successful for migraine attacks.
Before the treatment the scalp is locally anesthetized with a special cream so that the treatment is barely painful. After the treatment the scalp should be cooled.
Botox is used to treat frown lines, forehead wrinkles or crow’s feet, but also lines on the nose (bunny lines), the chin and wrinkles around the corners of the mouth. The wrinkles in the skin appear in these areas due to the frequent contraction of the muscles, i.e. facial expressions. The treatment relaxes the muscles, the skin recovers and becomes smoother. As a result, the wrinkles that have formed in the epidermis also fade over time.
