New! Corona+flu combination test
Influenza (usually also called flu) is a highly contagious, acute viral infection of the respiratory tract. The main source of infection is currently patients infected with the coronavirus. Common symptoms of influenza are fever, dry cough and fatigue. The symptoms are therefore similar to corona symptoms. Sometimes there is also a runny or stuffy nose, sore throat or diarrhoea. Every year in the autumn and winter, there are many people who are infected with this virus. A distinction is made between type A and type B. Type A viruses usually have a higher prevalence (frequency of illness or symptoms). Type B infections are usually much milder.
The corona+influenza A+B antigen test is a test for the detection of Corona, influenza A and B antigens. During the test, the extracted sample reacts with the antibodies for COVID19 or influenza A and/or B.
