Triggers such as stress, hormonal changes, taking the contraceptive pill or operations on the ovaries or uterus can cause a change in the production of moisture in the vagina. Women of all ages are affected, and during the menopause the falling oestrogen level increases the frequency even more. Vaginal dryness is also a typical symptom of vaginal atrophy (vaginal ageing after menopause). A study by the “North American Menopause Society” even came to the conclusion that almost every second woman over the age of 45 suffers from vaginal dryness.
The almost painless therapy with the Femilift Laser is based on the activation of the body’s natural regeneration mechanisms. Before the treatment, an analgesic cream is applied to the outer vagina and at the entrance to the vagina before the CO2 laser is inserted vaginally with the appropriate attachment. For treatment, the laser beam is activated, which hits the skin by rotating the handpiece, centimeter by centimeter, in a radius of 360 degrees.
The thermal power of the laser activates the production of the body’s own collagen in the connective tissue layer below the mucosa, the so-called submucosa, and the entire mucosa is stimulated to renew itself. In the process, the connective tissue is tightened and blood circulation is stimulated. By strengthening the pelvic floor and the tissue around the urethra, complaints of bladder weakness or incontinence are greatly reduced after just one treatment.

Treatment procedure of the Femilift laser treatment
1. Anamnesis Questionnaire
The treatment procedure for a vaginal tightening or vaginal rejuvenation in Vienna with Dermacare is explained in detail below. An anamnesis questionnaire is completed before each initial treatment. This enables possible risks to be identified and prevented.
2. Consultation
First of all, there will be a detailed preliminary talk with the specialist Dr. Cermak, during which you will be able to discuss everything that burdens you in your daily life. Prepare yourself for the interview and speak openly about your wishes and expectations.
3. Treatment
After a consultation, you can take a comfortable seat on the treatment chair.
An approximately 3cm thick applicator is carefully inserted into the vagina. Dr. Cermak starts the treatment. The laser now produces tiny "injuries" in the vagina, which are perceived as not unpleasant heat. The heat leads to the desired tightening of the collagen fibres and the tissue is stimulated to renew and thicken. This results in a successful vaginal rejuvenation.

4. After the Femilift treatment
After the vaginal tightening, you should refrain from bathing and sexual intercourse for 3 to 5 days. If the vulva is also treated extensively, it is advisable to apply a wound and healing ointment repeatedly every day.
